THE CROWN JEWEL – OVERLOOKED
Bandra is the Queen of the Suburbs, and the Popley store is, undisputedly, her crowning jewel. An iconic multistorey structure in the classic Roman style, it has been a landmark not just in Bandra but across the city and the jewellery world.
And therein rested the problem.
People had become too familiar with the building. A prime location lay inactivated, not getting the constant attention it rightfully deserved.
Inspiration enough for us to get our creative wheels whirring!
LOOKING CLOSER HOME
The brand chose Valentine’s Day to create something awe-inspiring get attention back to the store. We attacked the drawing board with our ideas – what could reflect the quality, purity and benchmark craftsmanship of Popley’s dazzling pieces, how would we get passersby and customers to rethink their relationships with this iconic structure and brand.
The answer was right there – in the exquisitely designed jewellery. Every piece meticulously crafted, with multiple small components carefully put together to create one unified vision of dedication, commitment and an unrelenting pursuit of beauty.
TUGGING AT HEART-STRINGS
We created a larger-than-life heart, with 9 intermingling layers of small hearts in laser-cut MDF. Coloured a bright, beautiful red, these hearts had an ample showering of glitter that made them shimmer in the light – much like the facets of Popley’s diamonds.
RESTORING THE JEWEL, RIGHT BACK IN THEIR HEARTS
What did it do? Well, it made the structure the talk of the town, for starters! The Heart became a selfie point for passerby and customers alike. Influencers flooded their pages with photos and reels, increasing organic engagement with the brand’s socials.
Most importantly, the installation brought back the spotlight on this iconic store and elevated the brand’s image in a way that would continue glittering in the hearts of the public for a lot longer than just on Valentine’s Day.
